Paint them white. Their panels are similar to your cabinets and look good. Painting them white will make the space seem larger while retaining the character. They also go with your door trim and are probably solid wood.

Wow - I love your kitchen and love the doors! Personally I think I'd attempt a refinish to get them a bit closer in color to the cabinets but try to retain their character.

Alternatively, is there another place in your home these doors could be used and you purchase new doors for the kitchen?

It leads to the basement. It looks tighter in the shot than it actually is. We can open it about 85% of the way. Our cabinets extend a little further than the old one but that's OK. There's an entrance to the basement from the side of the house too. So, we can always get in that way if we need to.

I'm definitely torn between staining them and painting them. They're a little too dark to match with everything else as is, IMO.
