I fell in love with two bedrooms I found here on Houzz,
I am half way through my redo of our master bedroom, I have started to paint one wall and then found another room I love that has a bed more to the style of what I already own and plan on using.
so I will post pictures of the 2 I love plus 1 of my half started room..helpe me decided or my wife is going to kill me!

I voted for option 2 because of the lighter wall color.

Option one seems much more interesting.

Both are beautiful. Does your wife have a preference? (Happy wife = happy life.)

From what I can see here, you're off to an awsome start! Think about what will work for you both in reality. The more formal a room the more maintenance it will require. I really like #1 and it seems to be close to what you've begun already! If you're comfortable with this idea; try hanging a piece of art in front of the window. You can do this by suspending from the ceiling from anchors, or, build out about 3" from the center post of the window with lumber installing one block at the top of your art piece and a second one lower. Then mount the art with L-brackets or heavy duty Velcro. You can also find wall mountable art rail online. JB

Both are beautiful. Enjoy! I picked #1 because morediferent and striking, which goes better with the rest of your house?

Nevadan, this will ne the first room done to completion. I am a traditional guy when it comes to decor ..option 1 was my first choice...Definitely more bold but warm and cozy.
Option 2 would be playing it safe..although very beautifully done..I think I might take the plunge into chocolate with #1
But I would definitely love to hear some more opinions!

I like #1 because you have white bedding and side table, so I really love the contrast. Dark walls are romantic in a bedroom.

    I like #1 best.

I like number one. Number one has all of the walls painted the same color and has that lovely white crown moulding. I would suggest you paint all of the walls-it would help with the angles and add the crown-although the angles are tricky for adding the crown. Are the sheers on the window giving you enough light control and privacy? Is the color of your walls chocolate brown? I like the idea of adding art behind bed.

I like what you have started and it just needs to be finished. Some lamps, pictures, so third accent color pillow. A little stack of books on the night stands, or flowers , or a plant. Just continue with what you have and it will be very nice.

Maureenwats, Yes the color of the room is a chocolate brown the same as an option 1 picture, As far as the shears on the window..yes it gives my plenty of light and privacy since we have neighbors on that side of our home.

So today I think I will finish painting out the room with the chocolate color Also finish painting the night stands all white, the hotel bedding is on order and should arrive in a few days, But I am still searching for a area rug similar to the one in option 1.
art work is another story.. I have recruited my sister to handle that part since she has a better eye for that then I do.
All in all the opinions I have got from all of you it has been a great help!!!
the only problem I have with this app is that there is so much to love I can't seem to make up my mind..lol. And with the rest of the house still to do I'm sure you all will be hearing from me again for more help in the future. :)

Btw..I think I am now safe from certain death by my wife's hands..at least for the next few months. ;)

Awesome job...I love the lighting you added the lighting near the bed. Not sure what is draped over the chair, but I think the chair would look better with just the pillow:)
