The commercial breeder looks for a particularly-superior *COMPROMISE between several properties*. I have no doubt that true professionals submit their breeding results to a system of evalution by "quality points for each quality" the final sum of quality points deciding on the level of "commercial value". One other very important quality other than sheer beauty and longevity is that the floret is showing at least horizontally if not even slightly UPRIGHT. The commercial breeder can select by a system as indicated, bcz they have by far a larger number of seedlings that they can select from.
