I'm confused, they both look traditional to me! First one more shaker/ farm house.

Modern to me is more something like this:

I think they are both beautiful it really depends on the style of your home. I love light and bright but I have to say the open shelving in the kitchen may make me a little crazy keeping organized and pretty:)

As good as the modern style looks, I personally prefer a home that has a more cozy feel to it so I voted for classic.

Depending on your house style, they are both different.

The white kitchen appeals more to m personal style.
