Retreat 2016 questions.

We are down for Oct 13-16 at Holston for our 2016 retreat. I received an e-mail saying they have another group coming in on the 16th, but since we had an agreement for 13-16, I have asked if we could stay till noon. We were all gone by noon this year, so maybe that would be ok.

Some had also asked about extending it one more day and making it Oct 12-16. It looks like we will be able to do the 12th if we want.

Also, she said they could do dinners for us at $11 each and let us do breakfast and lunch on our own.

Just wanted to get a feel for what would interest everyone.

Thanks for checking Beverly....10/12 to 10/16 would be my choice due to the drive. The $11 for dinner is fine by me, but I also think we did ok on our own. Heavens knows we didn't go hungry! Either is fine by me.

I can't commit 100% for 2016 at this point, will know better next year. Thanks again for finding a spot and getting us getting us organized this year!

The 12th -16th would be fine with me too. I am game for cooking or having them cook dinner. Either way will be good. I am sure we can be out of there by noon. Looking forward to it!

I am in for the 12th-16th. I'd be gone by noon. I'd pay for dinners if that is what we vote for.

Holston Presbytery Camp is just outside the small town of Banner Elk, NC, near Grandfather Mountain.

I thought an extra day might be enticing to those having to travel a longer distance.

I'm fine with paying for dinner or fixing our own.

I think the extra day would be better for those of us who come a long distance. I would gladly help cook or pay for the dinners, either way. I'm marking my calendar.

My thoughts with dinner was if we have more people the tiny kitchen will be quite cramped. We could manage breakfast and lunch, but cooking dinner for perhaps 14 would be a chore. I will let you know what Lisa says about the 16th.

Jackie, if Tim can't come I can pick you up on the way. Maybe we can make a week of it and hit Mary Jo's.

From the airport, I'll have to go right by Mary Jo's to get there. So sad. Lois, you and I can coordinate that part of it. You are in for a treat.

Right now those dates look good for me - I have it penciled in on my calendar. I like having another day. I am open to cooking or paying for meals, either way. It certainly looks like you had fun. I am not sure if I will fly or drive.

Linda, does this mean I should start planning for more fabric storage space here at home? This will be so much fun.

Sue, I'm always happy to pick up any campers that fly in to RDU (Raleigh area) or PTL (Greensboro area) and return you to your airport in time.

I vote for the extra day. I will probably fly.......Thank you Teresa - if it works out for RDU for me.

Cooking or not -- $11.00 for Holston to provide dinner would be my preferred choice. Really depends on the number of people and the kitchen. Is there a dining area? It's always nice not to have to shop & cook & clean up dinner :) but I'll do whatever the group decides.

I can be out by 10:00 on Sunday.

I also need to see what 2016 brings before I can make a firm commitment, but those dates look great!
