put up a blind and close it

well, you don't need to close it, just a tilt will do. we have a blind on the 3rd floor attic space, it looks like living space from outside.

I used frosted glass spray paint on my old basement and garage windows. It's inexpensive, and if you ever wanted to change it, it peels off with a razor blade.
