Who got rain?

After getting over two inches a couple days ago, we got another inch early this A.M. Who else got needed rain?

Big Negative west of Purcell. Although from here it looked like the town got good rain. We did not get any the other night either. Dry as a bone around here.

Perkins mesonet reads 1.30". Wild storm. It ripped a small plane in Stillwater. I already picked up tree limbs. Only damage we had was metal on a fence.

Nothing here other than the 0.63" or so we got about 3 days ago. It was nice, but it wasn't enough to put a dent in the drought. There was a grass fire in western Love County yesterday, so the rain wasn't as helpful as everyone hoped it would be. A lot of the dry grasses are so dry that they are semi-dormant already and awfully dry, so the rain didn't help them. Still, we are grateful for every little bit of rain that we get.

We got an inch Tuesday evening, but the storms this morning just missed us to the east. I see the extended forecast has us back up in the low to mid 90s. Blerg.

There was about 7/8 of an inch in the gauge from last storm and about 1 1/4 inches now, in Owasso. I slept through it, but my Chinese cabbage looked kind of beat up and some other things laying down, like the rain came down hard.

All we got was a yard full of dried tree leaves when the big rainless blow came through a couple days ago, we were away from the house in an area where it was raining elsewhere in OKC. There's been dead leaves falling off trees ever since we got drowned in late spring/early summer. Its dry as a bone here too.

We got 0.2" a few days ago that only washed the dust off. None today. Enjoying the cooler days, but really I'm just waiting for a good soaking rain.

We got a third to half inch depending on which report you believe, but that was added to the 2.5 - 2.7 we got earlier in the week.

Our yard, which I had watered periodically after the dry spell set in, did really green up a lot after the rain, and even the pastures, which never get irrigated, look a wee bit greener. We had another grass fire yesterday, so even though the fields are starting to perk up and look greener, they're still dry enough that they ignite fairly easily and burn. I don't think the rain we got here has made much difference in terms of drought and fire danger. We need a lot more rain and we need it to fall in "inches" not in hundredths or tenths of inches. I do think that some of the tomato blossoms that have been dropping because of high heat and drought finally set some fruit the last couple of days.

Well missed it again this morning! Got up, looked east, and there it was by town again. A very pretty little random shower happening, but not in my yard. Sheesh!

Sooner or later it will rain again. It will. Really. Maybe not in September, but certainly in October or November. Right? Right. Hang in there, y'all. We certainly aren't wet here, but the 0.6" we got really helped a lot and I know y'all need some relief too.

None, nada, nothin' here, out of either storm.

We got a big 1/4" this morning and 30mp wind, so that little bit of moisture is long gone. Still waiting fora good rain. Wheats in and the hays down waiting to bale and the fair starts Thursday it should rain.

We got a whoppin' 0.10ish this morning. And our power went out.
