Found some photos in the archive that give a better perspective of the space.

we are in the process of remodeling our kitchen and are using these photos for inspiration.I see most black and white kitchens have honed vs polished.We have 4 kids and Im a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness. I have hears so much negative feedback in regards to honed or polished black granite.Now that you have lived in your kitchen would you be able to offer your personal experience with stains, smudges,fingerprints etc.... I really want to make an educated decision on this and be realistic.Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The big difference about this kitchen and the finishes you have described is this granite is leathered. When touring stone yards look for a leathered or antiqued slab not just polished or honed. The honed can be a lot of work and the darker polished granites can highlight dust, food crumbs, etc. I'm sure you know enough about yourself and the mix of your OCD issues + 4 kids and nothing will be perfect...shoot for practical. Unfortunately, now I've given you three finishes to lament over. Good luck with the final choice.
