I thought about this but it only comes in a 12'10x9'6 and I'm not sure if that would be large enough. I'm also not sure if the colors would look right. I like the second one too.

IMO the lighter rug would be better, but seems that the 9x12 might be large enough. Maybe the rug should be a light color with a touch of sage?

I like the rug, but it does make the room a bit sedate. There are other things you could do to punch things up. However, if you decide to return the rug, order a sample first before you commit to another one.

I know you didn't ask, but the horse is either way too big, or the console beneath it is way too small. That wall is out of whack.

I love the rug but not with your tone of furniture. And this is coming from a person that loves brown.

Thanks! I will be returning it. Could I get some new rug suggestions please. So, I should look for something smaller? I will say the larger rug makes the room feel larger which is nice but like I said I only had a 8x 10 there before. As for the horse picture it does look funny in that particular picture I think it was the angle of the picture. It does not look like that in person but I was focusing on the rug and it got distorted. I love all the advice!

I would keep the cream/sage green/brown subtle color scheme in the room and go with a rug that has more cream in the background for more contrast.

I think the console is both too small for its space and too small for the horse picture so I would remove the console and hang the picture lower so the top edge is below the top of the door.
