My daughter in law asked if I could help her choose accessories for their new furniture in their new apartment. Please help me to jazz up this rather small space...I see a definite need for window treatment, art, color, rug by couch. Thanks in advance! Picture included...walls are white....

You need to find an inspiration piece. I would consider taking her shopping to get a feel for colors. But I think a good place to start would be the ottoman. It really helps to liven things up when all the upholstered pieces don't match. I'm guessing there isn't any overhead lighting so I saw an ottoman on Wayfair that is in the yellow/gray family. So that was my inspiration. Maybe jyou could do a soft yellow on the walls. Get a grey/yellow patterned area rug. Then add grey/ yellow draperies and throw pillows.

Nice. Couch seems a bit olive khaki / earth tone ceramic lamp base. Would an orange-red accent color seem good? What color does she like to wear - red? gold-yellow?

Seems an area rug might not be needed for color/ pattern, especially if you pick that for an exposed window treatment as yours is: in view from everywhere. Go with creamy instead of stark white in a pattern.

Thank you so much for your help and suggestions...this is my first post and you have already inspired me. What is the name of the application where you can actually place the pieces in the room please. This would help us get a feel for what my daughter in law likes....this is the BEST,
