It seems easier to find a lower dishwasher, e.g. Bosch seems lower. Not sure about Miele. Have you looked at Blomberg, Asko, Fischer-Paykel?

If you are doing custom cabinets and are tall (or even average height), you might want to consider taller cabinets. I love my high counters (39"); they are more comfortable to work at and my lower cabinets have more space because they're taller (not just higher toe kicks.)

Sorry no experience on the channel you mention but it's a nice clean look.

Friends have handle-less cabs at their lake house and the doors on both uppers and lowers are worn where countless fingers have grabbed the wood over the years. (It's a multi-family house with lots of kids around.) Just something to keep in mind - without pulls or knobs your doors will get more handling, so an easy clean finish will be good.

DW's that are certified for disability/wheelchair use (ADA) are shorter. Look for one of those.

How about one of those new "Knock2open" Miele dishwashers? You'd still need a break in the channel, but could have a handle-less dishwasher.

There is a device from that cabinet insert maker - maybe Blum or something like that - that lets you push to open a dishwasher so can be completely handleless

We do it on all of our jobs. Just order ”ADA” compliant model of Miele or Bosh.

@mikebone Yes, please tell us how you achieve this with a dishwasher like bosch! We are going with a handless kitchen and I didn't want to have hardware on my dishwasher.

@mikebone - I need to know this as well. My issue is complcated by having a dish-drawer washer.
