Nice perspective. Looks like everything else in that bed changed over time, but not those two. Thanks.

Actually the Cham. 'Golden Mops are there in the late 90's photo. I shear them twice a year.

Nice Dave!

so that's what golden mops look like sheared,,,,,,,,,,,,huh...

have you also cut some off bottom of Reflexa ?

thanks for sharing , ron

Love the pics. Do you ever worry about high wind damage?

I have up limbed the 'Reflexa only slightly to grow Hostas, ground covers and Coral Bells under it. Also if you look left center, 90's photo, there is a Picea a. 'Little Gem ' under there also that does very well.

Never any wind damage bossy.

Alright Dave, I'm holding you to it. My 'Reflexa' and 'Glauca Pendula' better look as grand as yours in 15 years. ;)

I absolutely love the then and now photos. What a great motivator to inspire hope for what our little plantings have in store. Those two monsters together never cease to captivate me. Thanks Dave!

Well Garen, I hope they preform exactly how you want them to. If not you will probably have to dig me up to express your dissatisfaction and disappointment. I couldn't help myself. Seriously they are great performers. Keep the Glauca Pendula' on the stake till it becomes to uncomfortable to go any higher then stand back and enjoy them. Both trouble free. I'll put up two more photos of 'Reflexa'. This one was planted at the same time as the one in front. I kept it staked for 6 years. After removing the stake it continued is vertical growth without wavering. Straight as an arrow which I think is unusual as this one is an unstable grower.

hey Dave, how bout wide shot of front yard so we can bask in glory of mature garden(er)

nother question,,,,I thought reflexa was narrower,,,I saw 2 in front of house, real narrow

reminded me of nootka strict weeper minus shirt,,,I know they were P abies

know what they were ?,,,,,,anybody
