Should I cancel the rug and get something with light grey and teal?

I would go with light grey and teal throw pillows on the sofa. It will break up the "block" of dark brown color and help lighten that area up. For an added "pop" maybe ONE pillow done in a burnt orange color in the corner area of the sectional (to pull out a color from the art) Good luck with your search!

I would cancel the rug or buy a new one with brighter and happier color, main color is red , I just like that!

Unbelievable! I read comments and thought "red" , absolutely not. BUT I took the advice and it works. Microfiber kind of rust pillow, a fun white fur one and I tried a gold. But red and I'll look for teal and grey pattern. Thank you, thank you. Who would have thought? Again thanks

I can't imagine! I feel very sorry for any trouble I have caused for you, really. IAnd now what will we do to make it look better? shall we decorate the sofa with some other things?

Anne, you haven't caused any trouble. You have all helped break out of my "matchy "matchy" and bring in red/orange colors and I even picked up a Mustard color pillow. And they compliment one another, bring in the colors from the picture and pop! I need at least 2 more pillows. Hunting for different materials, but I love the faux fur.(expensive). I don't have any patterned pillows. Somehow I think a pattern would take away from painting. Maybe a small pattern with colors from painting. Then again, what do I know!

Not so much of a blue pattern, but more of a texture would look amazing. IMO. I love your sectional!

No, I like the rug you ordered. I would just pull colors from your painting in for the pillows and call it done. I think you've done a great job, here.

the painting on the wall is all you need, snap a pic on your phone and take it to the store with you when you shop, refer to it for some of the colors, all of them will work.

YOU DID IT!!! Looks gorgeous! Think about pulling it all together with similar colors as in pillows on tray and some height there. Maybe birds could go somewhere else in the room?

Look for a beautiful colored glass bowl or large vase shape with the colors reddish orange, etc. They can be pricy, but you may find one at TJ Maxx, etc.
