New inspiration

Somewhere in my stumbles across the internet, I came upon reference to Sara Nephew's and Marci Baker's book, Not Your Grandmother's Log Cabin. In it, 1-1/2" strips are used to create triangle and diamond log cabin blocks and really beautiful quilts. There are 30 patterns in the book. Some use scraps, and some are quite color-planned. I now have the book and the 10" Clearview Triangle ruler that is used. I've wanted a new scrappy project, so this might be it. I especially liked the quilt pattern called Winter Snow, but there are many in the book that I would like to try.

Has anyone ever done any of these quilts? The book came out in 2008, so I'm kind of late to the game.
