What to do with flowering peach fruit?

So this year has been an exceptional one for my peach trees, to the extent that even our ornamental flowering peach has a pile of ripe fruit on it (which has never happened for us before). I'm a big fan of not wasting free food when it randomly shows up, so does anyone know any good recipes for the fruit from an ornamental peach? Much like with a flowering crabapple, the fruit are smaller than their bred-for-food-purposes counterparts (around 2" in diameter), and a great deal more tart, but if they're good for preserves or something, I'd just as soon cook them up and freeze/can/whatever them for the winter. Thoughts, anyone?
