Honestly, when I ordered these plants I was only interested in them as small shrubs to place along a garage wall. I liked their flowers and figured they'd do a good job of attracting [more!] birds to my yard. I thought if they produced fruit, great, but that wasn't their main purpose. However, now that they're starting to fruit I'm getting excited that it might be edible! I guess we'll see.

Isn't that cute! I love seeing the pomegranates turning ripe on the neighborhood plants--very attractive. I have thought about buying one, but we really, really don't have the room. Maybe a dwarf would be a nice compromise.

My dwarf pom Nana is about 10 years old, and never got more than about a foot tall! It makes just a few blossoms each year. I'm happy for it to stay pretty small but was expecting more like 3-4 feet. Is it too late to encourage it somehow to grow a bit more? If it is possible, how would I do that?

Technically they are edible...but hardly worth the effort. Usually there are only a few to maybe a dozen arils inside. They probably taste fine, but not much there. Good to know they're a good pollinator though.

I have to agree that the dwarfs are ornamental and don't have much flavor. We bought ours at Gurneys, thinking we'd be eating poms. Wrong. That plant wasn't worth the water, so we now have 2 large ones in it's place.
