You could probably build a hatch with framing and siding that would resemble the house'so materials. By he time you do labor though, and attach it to that concrete, with a Hilti, you will likely be in a price range not much cheaper.

Who is that access designed to fit? A 6year old??? Don't see how that can possibly be "access". It's not big enough, and has that angle to deal with. Yikes on fitting Bubba through that!

Great idea about covering it with siding, I hadn't even though of that. Hmm. As for the size of it - yeah, not many people can fit under there. Every time the plumber shows up to do something under the house there's one big guy and the requisite small guy.

It is truly a nightmare trying to find something. I am also thinking they should have some ventilation as the existing covers were made of an aluminum mesh of some sort, which has been painted to match the house over the years. I am now looking at window screen stores to have some made. I need four. 18in x 24in
