Photos are taken too far away to be able to identify leaves and plant structures.

I just figured it was all weeds...scrub trees...looking at clearing it all...need help with what to replace it with. I wanted to show the slope...thanks!

It may or may not be all weedy scrub trees. Before ripping it all out, I'd take photos of individual plants that you can't ID yourself and post them on the Name that Plant forum. If you have some shrubs that are ornamental and happy there, it will give you a head start on your plantings and not look so bare or be so expensive to redo.

I'd plant it either in a groundcover that will spread and hold the hill, or shrubs that sucker and spread. Specifically what depends on your soil pH and how much sun you have. Do you have access to some kind of organic mulch like shredded bark? That will be needed while the plants fill in to prevent the worst of the weeds, and you will still need to get in there and weed a couple of times a year.

You also may get better results if you ask this question on a more active forum such as shrubs or perennials.
