I have used Siberian pear, they don't sucker, now I graft onto my own seedlings.

Sometimes you get away with pears growing for several years on apple or the other way around but down the road most often they abort.

Thank you my friend, I so want to try grafting a pear tree in the spring then down the road graft another kind of pear that will pollinate it . I think I will have two grafted trees if I find the right root stocks. From there I will be grafting to my existing trees because I have a little yard lol
