Solid hardwood or laminate? Is there a reason for one specific vinyl vs. tile as the other option? Is either surface elsewhere in the home already? High traffic like family room or high traffic like snow/dirt/pet hallways?

We do not have enough information about you to help make your decision. For me, I have hardwoods in my high traffic areas. Given that I have well-loved, but dreadfully behaved dogs, I would prefer to have luxury vinyl.
