My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Hi,
    The species of timber is we used for the seat & trellis is called Merbau in Australia and is sourced from South East Asia. It also goes by the following names kwila, Ipol & Vesi.
    It is 3 ½ x ¾ inch and we stained it with a clear sealer to bring out the natural red colour of the timber. You can stain it with any colour you like and you will get variations of a red colour.

      Hi
      These sliding doors were custom made by a window manufacturer here in Melbourne Australia.
      They are made of hardwood and have 2 fixed glazing panels to the sides and 2 central sliding doors on a track. They measure 2.4 meters in height and 3.6 meters wide.
      Any window manufacturers should be able to make them.

      Hi,
      Thanks for the compliment. It was my wifes idea to place the succulents in the urn.
      However I will have to tell you that we had to replace the 1st urn we had because the succulents grew and cracked the bowl. Sofar with the 2nd all seems well.

      A very nice job.

      Merbau is a very durable and termite-resistant timber. Has an orangish-brown color when freshly cut, which ages to a darker reddish-brown. Color between boards can be highly variable. There are also small yellow mineral deposits found throughout the wood, making it easier to separate from other lookalikes. (These yellow deposits are water-soluble and can cause staining.)
