Do windows need to be all the same?

Hello,

Here is my dilemma. All the windows on the front and side of the house are double hung with a grill on the top of two vertical and one horizontal line. At the back of the house, you can see the great room (high) windows and sliding doors that will all be clear. To the right of the great room, are the dining room windows and the far right is our sunroom windows, which are double hung with the same grill as the front. In the dining room, I am wanting a clearer view out and I am also concerned that the grills that I have for the rest of the house may look too busy. What I have done is make the grill only on 1/3 of the window (instead of 1/2) and only have to vertical lines (no horizontal).

I am in no way an expert, but I don't see that being too much of an issue. My builders are not super keen on the idea. They would prefer that the dining room be double hung like the rest of the windows with the same grill, leave the great room windows clear.

There is a likely a point in the great room that you will be able to see all those windows at once.

I apologize for the attached picture. It's one of the older print outs of the house that I drew my ideas on.. my toddler also got ahold of it too. I think it will still provide of a picture of what I am trying to do. The dining room windows (to the right of the great room) will be higher than shown in this picture.

So, what do you think? Will it look nice? Am I making a big mistake? Let me know your honest opinions!

Thank you!
