I have the double drawers also. We will be in our home 9 years next week. The bottom is extremely loud. The top is better, but not quiet like my previous Bosch (last house). You have to take them apart to clean and that's not really fun. I would not get them again.

Have to second Allison's review. My best friend has them, they came with her house. They don't clean very well and they tend to be loud. I know they look cool, but they are nothing like a portable dw. They are installed like any other.

If you're looking to save space, there are several 18" dishwashers out there. I just bought one for my remodel, but it's not hooked up yet to give you a review.

For the money, you can buy quieter, more reliability, better cleaning, if you go conventional DW.

I like mine a lot. They fit into a space less tha 24" because they replaced a Miele (I think 23 3/8). That may be why mine is quiet.

When one drawer isn't cleaning well it's time to clean the kidney shaped filter.

next house, I'm getting a single on each side of the clean up sink. I dont run the lower as often as I should.

Have had the double dish drawer unit for almost two years. It fit in existing 24" space for dishwasher. The upper drawer a real back saver. I rarely use the bottom dish drawer. But have run both at same time no problems. Aside from some problems with original installation and a couple of quirks early on (and under warranty), it's been a good machine. is fairly quiet which is good. Important to clean the kidney shaped filter after every few cycles. Makes a big difference and no big deal to do. If I were to do over again would go with single dish drawer and have built in storage drawer underneath (have very small kitchen).

My sink is flanked by stacked dishdrawers on the right and a pull-out with bins for garbage and recycling on the left. My Fisher Paykel dishdrawers are 14 years old and work perfectly. I use Cascade Complete powder. I run a vinegar rinse a couple times a year to dislodge soap buildup.

This may have changed, but you should probably 'test' your dishes inside a dishdrawer to be sure they fit. Mine won't take a large diameter plate.

I have to remind myself to run the lower drawer now and then. With just two adults, we're good running only the convenient upper drawer one a day.

If you are thinking about 18" dishwashers, I put a Miele 18" dishwasher in rental apartment three years ago. It's very quiet operation and no complaints from tenants or need for repairs.
