What material is your door made of?

It is a mahogany door with seeded glass panes in the door and sidelights.

No, I have looked. So, if anyone has found them, I would be interested as well.

What I do is use some ribbon to hang them. I just tack the ribbon into the top of the door. I couldn't find a photo of my own, so I will include one from Houzz. - Although I believe mine were prettier ;-)

Thanks. Was hoping to avoid this but may be all I can do. I did see something on Pintrest were they used a metal hanger but then straightened out the hook at the bottom and added ribbon to make it long enough. That could work but can't find any that fit over my 2" door frame either.

Another option would be to use a 3M hook. I know they make them for holiday decorations. I was just unsure about putting them on my wooden door. Also, didn't want to discover that it didn't work by finding my wreath blown away. :-)

Thanks, Maureen. I checked this out but it won't fit over the top of the door because it it over 2" and it only goes to about 1 3/4".

Queen Bee of Honey Does, I found a hanger at Lowes that would work if you have single pane glass. Unfortunately, mine is double pane so it doesn't. It has two wreath holders that are magnetic. One goes on each side of the glass and the magnets hold it in place. On my door they will hold each other in place but because of the space between the panes it isn't strong enough to hold the wreath. Going to use a ribbon and thumbtacks on the top of the door - at least for now.

man, I have that magnetic one on my metal door and it will barely let go! amazing (almost alarming) gizmo...

I have an 8 foot door too. I have the largest 3M hook on my door. It works great, but my door is glass so I'm not sure if that's why it works so well.

Command hooks should work just fine, as long as the weight is correct.

Totally agree...Command hooks should work with the right weight. Been using them for a long time. We've also used them on exterior brick to hang Christmas lights. As I recall, they tell you no for brick, but they work fine for us.

I realize the OP's most recent post is from last year, but I just wanted to mention, again, those Command hooks are simply amazing.

My husband pounds a thumb tack on top of the door, then uses clear fishing line and loops it around the wreath. The fishing line length will depend on how high or low you want your wreath. Then just tie a knot on one end and hook it over the thumb tack. The fishing line is virtually invisible and the door will still close shut. Pound the tack as close to the wood as possible with just enough room for the fishing line to hook around it!
