Tall skinny christmas palms

Just bought some tall skinny adonidias and I was wondering if I plant them in full sun will they thicken in the trunk and foliage?

Adonidias don't have a particularly thick trunk, they tend to be more slender. Crowded low light conditions cause palms to grow tall and skinny, which is probably what happened with yours if they are extra skinny. How skinny are yours and do you have photos you could post?
