Lidl detergents

Whent shopping yesterday, and got to Lidl.

Why you ask, because swedish CR listed Lidl Formil color the best detergent they ever tested. I have tried their other brand, dont remember name now and liked it.

I did not need any color detergent in powder, but needed for whites. I got powder and liquid for whites and liguid for colors.

Really like the smell of them, real detergent smell and after washing still wet the smell were very clean.

Right now in the big bosch is towles for shower, hand, and kitchen on a 190 f , 90 c wash with liguid for whites, smell lovely in bottle.

here they are.

I just bought the same formil color liquid on friday! The scent was quite strong but the clothes didn't really smell at all when dry. Would have liked a little stronger scent but that's just me, lol. Could also be a little less sudsy but that's with all other liquids I've tried as well.

I was pleasently surprised by the scent because a couple years ago I tried the liquid in the bigger, clear bottle and didn't really like the scent. I also bought the new duo power pods on Friday and don't like the scent on them. The scent stuck to the clothes as well.

Lidl recently launched unscented liquids for sensitive skin. I almost bought some color liquid but then I came to my senses, lol. It had like 5 enzymes but I think all Lidl detergents have that.

We didn't have any powder for whites in the store I went to, just color powder. I wish they had smaller boxes to try at first. It also has zeolites which I try to avoid. Do Swedes have a thing against zeolites like we do in Finland? I mean articles warning about it being harmful to machines and detergents that are zeolite free and clearly say so. Maybe we're just crazy, lol.

That liquid is wonderful. 5 enzymes and two ingredients to prevent dye transfer. Pretty much the same as Persil but more concentrated and way cheaper. We pay 3 Euros for 28 loads.

No zeolite? It's the main ingredients in most powders here, it seems. What do you use instead? Zeolites are environmentally friendly but not water soluble, so you need to thoroughly rinse to get them out of the clothes. Dedicated Darks cycles usually ask not to fully load the drum and intensity the rinse cycle just to prevent white zeolite residue on dark clothes. I'd love to try a powder without that stuff in there.

Yeah, zeolite is also one of the main ingredients in the name brand powders here as well. I think most powders still have zeolites. Finnish Serto doesn't use zeolites in its detergents and grocery chains' own brand powders don't have them either in some cases. It's a good selling point, often people who want to avoid zeolites then buy these specific detergents.

    Serto color powder ingredients:

Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Silicate, Laureth-3/Laureth-9, Sodium Citrate, Sodium C12-18 Alkyl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoate, Trideceth-5, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Diethylenetriamine Pentamethylene Phosphonate, Protease, Amylase, PVP, Parfum

Rainbow (S group's own brand) color powder:

Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Suphate, Laureth-3, Laureth-9, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Maleate Acrylate Copolymer, Laureth-7, Sodium Palmitate, PEG-75, Aqua, Magnesium Sulphate, Protease, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Cumenesuphonate, Cellulase, Mannanase, Parfum, Amylase

And the unscented version: Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Suphate, Sodium Silicate, Laureth-3, Laureth-9, Sodium Palmitate, Laureth-7, Sodium Acrylic Acid/MA Copolymer, PEG-75, Aqua, Sodium Acrylate, Magnesium Sulphate, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Cumenesuphonate, Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, Mannanase

Pirkka (Kesko group's own brand) color powder:

    Sodium Carbonate,Sodium Chloride,Sodium Silicate,Trideceth-8,Trideceth-3,Sodium Tallowate,Cellulose Gum,Sodium Acrylic Acid/MA Copolymer,Polyether/Polyester-copolymer,Trisodium Dicarboxymethyl Alaninate,Subtilisin,Hydrated Silica,Amylase,Parfum,

Yeah I think the residue on clothes is one issue with zeolites but the other worry, at least among Finns, is that it won't get rinsed out of the machine either and starts building up in the pipes, gets stinky or even breaks something. I doubt manufacturers would use it if it was that bad, though. And I think if you do a maintenance wash regularly it probably wouldn't be an issue anyway.

Yes, yes - I went to Lidl as well to get some. Six enzymes, double color protection for just 10 Cents per load. :)
