Raspberry cutting question?

I recently took some cuttings from my raspberry plant which all took, I planted them in clear cups and transplanted them into 1 gallon pots when I seen the roots through the cups. I plan on keeping them in the 1 gallon pots through the winter.

Question, some have started growing upward producing new leaves, should I cut the tops to stop the new growth so the roots can get better before winter comes?

I would love to know exactly how you got these cuttings to grow, most people just recommend division... In terms of pruning, cutting the tops won't encourage more root growth, in fact shoot development will do that more. But don't be surprised if tops die back on their own...

Thanks for the the link… I thought I had seen your post already, and responded to it, but then I could not find it at the Fruit and Orchard forum, so I assumed my response had not gone through!

Very cool experiments with cuttings. I'll definitely be giving raspberry cuttings a try!
