Starting with the entrance into the living and dining room. Laying the tile this way will give it a better grand entrance having it spanned the longer length of the room straight back towards the dining room. Laying tile (especially tile that is mimicking the hardwood look) the same direction as the longest wall is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. If it's a more square shaped room it's more your discretion but you're better off keeping the same direction with the one bedroom and office off of the main area. Hope this helps! :)

The longest wall would be the front wall or the wall against the MB, but the widest point would be across by the kitchen island. Still conflicted . . .

Yes, I would suggest to run it the other way in those rooms because the longest wall dictates that. As far as the great room goes it seems to be about the same length from the entrance to the back bathroom as it is from the MB to the Office based on the floor plan I would pick to run linear from the entrance so your eye goes straight towards the kitchen and the island if that's a big focal point.
