We're getting 2 new HVAC systems in our house. One furnace (or heat pump) needs to go in the attic and one in the garage. The HVAC guy strongly recommends we put a heat pump unit in the attic for safety reasons. My husband is super sensitive to sound and I'm concerned that it will be really loud being in the attic above our heads. Does anyone know how loud they are. Do you recommend a heat pump over a furnace. We have solar too, so it seems to make sense.
