Steve, your plants are looking good as usual.

My fall/winter garden is slowly coming together. Unfortunately I've had spotty luck with germination the last month or so. My plan this year is to direct seed densely outside in a few small areas and then transplant into the cold frames after I get them setup.

The only seed I've sown over the last 2 months was in the sweet corn ...

First a couple rows of corn stalks were cut down and drug out. Too lazy to dig out the roots, I just went right down beside the stubble with the 4-prong cultivator, then worked in some cilantro and radish seed ... The radish is finished and the cilantro are nice, little plants. We are having some today in soup. Oh, and the remaining corn stalk have been cut after providing some shade during the hot weather.

The last seeds into that potato bed were snap peas, the last week of July. I've made a little bit of a mess of those vines by trying to grow them on a too-short teepee trellis and harvesting tendrils for stir-fry シ. They grew better than I expected, over-topped the trellis and brushing off the frost ... now, they are making pods.

These are in the greenhouse. I had to scout around for the Shanghai bok choy seed and ended up borrowing a packet from a friend.

I'm a little bit of a snob about bok choy. I bought 2 packets at the garden center of "baby bok choy." Two different companies, both had that label ...

In the first picture, you can see the stems of one plant, upper left-hand corner. Those are not what I want. Oh, they are okay just not what I really wanted and I don't remember which seed company those came from.

With the weather and all the travel I'm forgoing fall crops this year, and double-digging very well for next year if I can stay home...envious of that crop Steve!
