Catherine - Thank you for your interest. The Hydrangea in the picture are Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' - The common name is 'Late panicle Hydragea'. The reason it is referred to as a late panicle hydrangea is because the blooming time starts in the middle of the summer unlike other varieties that might start as early as spring, (IE. Hydrangea macrophylla - Bigleaf Hydrangea). The hydrangea in the picture are grown on standards, meaning that they are growing on top of a single stem. There are other varieties of Hydrangea paniculata too. Pinky Winky is a pink flowering one that is very popular. They are beautiful plants and worth having in the garden. Cathrine - They bloom for three to four months. The color varies during the bloom time, with white as the dominant color. They flowers start as a lime green. In full bloom they are bright white, as illustrated in the picture. The flower then takes on a dull 'pinkish' hue followed by a light brown finish as the flower looses all color. This picture was taken at the end of August. If you look close the flowers are starting to show just a little pink. Bill
