That's interesting, Beth. I wouldn't have thought that would make any difference. Live and learn, I guess.

rosecanadian, all of my bi-color roses that open on the bush are either much brighter and darker with the bright sun and heat or they fade. Almost everything that is bi-color in the summer changes color completely. Some of the blooms turn red, deep orange or dark pink and others pale to an ugly off white. I'm looking forward to the blooms over the next few weeks when everything should start blooming true. If I cut buds that are pretty tight before the sun gets to them and they open inside the colors are closer to being true.

Well, that's nice. Not a fan of the ugly off-white! :)
