Going along with the other post about our master bath reno that hubs is doing himself. One reason for this major reno is that the house was built in 1978 and the master had a drop ceiling, just about 6 ft., with the framed fluorescent lighting. Hubs took out the ceiling, raised it to 8 ft so that we could put in some canned lighting. It also helped with our raising the cabinet height and framing the mirror. We will also have a three light fixture above the mirror and a sconce on each end. He ran into problems as the rafters were level, so he had to fix all that before he could put up the new ceiling.
