Framed picture will work out better than a towel rack above a toilet. Towels fall down.

I would definitely recommend a hotel towel rack - perfect for a space such as yours. Art is one thing - and you can accomplish style in your wall color, mirror selection, shower curtain, etc. - but function is paramount. Where storage is limited, it is a great solution.

A towel rack is a great idea. Our firm has also placed well designed storage cabinets above the toilet. In our homes this has been a great place for storing toilet paper. A cabinet could be combined with a towel rack for double duty. You just have to place the cabinet in a position where no one will hit their head.
