New 1 year project quilt started, HoopSisters Sewn Seeds

Here is the beginnings of a new HoopSister's quilt, Sewn Seeds. I have a class once a month and get he patterns for about 20 blocks to finish before the next month. There are all done on my embroidery machine and have all the parts except the backing fabric. We start this quilt in the middle and work our way out. So, you see 3 or the 4 middle blocks ad one on the next round. Each are 8" and just pinned so I can see how it's coming together. I really like the colors for this quilt (I've always wanted a blue and yellow quilt :-) ). I have all 7 fabrics and threads on these blocks in the picture.

Oh, wow, that is beautiful! What kind of machine do you have? I would love to do something like that but don't know if my old emb. machine could handle it.

As long as you can get the pattern in a format that works on your machine, you should be able to stitch it. I have 2 Brother machines (Quattro and PR650) and both will accommodate the 8" block. You can make the block in various sizes depending on what your machine will do. The 8" block will make a queen size quilt, but I'm going to add a border or two to make it a king so I can keep this one for me. I've sewn so many quilts for others and I really like this one, so I'm thinking I'll keep it?

Robbi, that is just beautiful!! I don't blame you for planning to keep this one - I think it would be difficult to part with it!

Hi Robbi, I am not able to take classes but I am an experienced quilter. If I could buy the info would I be able to do this without classes? I would appreciate any info you can provide as I would love to make this quilt.

    Thank you, Nancy

calverttx, unfortunately, HoopSisters doesn't make their patterns available for sale except to authorized dealers for the first 2 years. After that, you will be able to purchase it. They have some older patterns you can purchase if you see one you like. I did the Feathered Star quilt about 2 years ago.

I found a store in College Station so I will begin my quilt in January. I am so glad you posted your picture and would love to see more as you go along. Thank you for your help and good luck with your quilt. N
