We did this exercise once where we thought about a specific project as a sanctuary. It resonated inward as we got smaller in scale. So, with that in mind, think of how your bedroom is a sanctuary within the home, and then imagine the bed as the sanctuary of the bedroom. What images come to mind in YOUR sanctuary?

Carole threw out some decent images, but I noticed that most of them were really bright. Some like very bright bedrooms and others, such as myself, like them to be more dark, cozy and intimate...my sanctuary. I like them almost "cave-like"...dark and somber, and I want the opposite in a kitchen--for example.

Proportion-wise, yes, the one small picture needs to go, OR be added to. A collage of different sizes of framed images would work. This may seem simple, but also, replace the light bulbs with "real" bulbs (they have a blue tint to them when you buy them).

Making something "pop" is a definite. Aja was onto something with the curtains. Everything seems to blend together too much.
