Most chain stores do require full purchase of the estimate first if they don't offer a paid measurement. Some charge a $75 fee that isn't deductible. Either way, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

Thanks Sophie. It's a Cambria countertop, so should I take some comfort that Cambria is pretty picky about their fabricators? I got to see slabs (not tag one, though) and I am not worried about the product. Thanks in advance!
