We have painted our dark brown brick peach color, and have had a matching roof for 23 years now, but must have it replaced. The exterior color is all pale peach with taupe cedar siding. WE have double glass front doors with 3 white columns on a covered front porch. Obviously, we are trying to make our 40 year old split look like the South, but now have to decide on either a white roof shingle or should we go to a darker color for a contrast? If the siding is cedar shingles, should the roof style look like cedar shingles too, or would a shingle that is supposed to resemble the rounded tile be too contrasting?
