Touch-on faucets?

As a huge cook, the thought of one of those "touch-on" faucets sounds amazing. However, most of the ones I've looked at also have some sort of hands-free element (which I assume is using some motion detector) and I'm not sure how I feel about that. The prices on them seem to have come down, and l'm seeing them from $400+ now in comparison with 18 months ago where all I could find were $800+.

Does anyone have one of these? What model do you have? Pros/cons? Do you like the motion-sensor part? I'd ideally want one with a built-in nozzle and one arm for temperature selection. I'm trying to strike a balance between something functional and something with too much technology that I will probably break...

I have Kohler Sensate with stages sink. All good here.

Just bumping this up because I'm interested, too, and just starting to search. I'd consider for the main and prep sinks.

We have the Moen Arbor Motion Sense. Very happy with it.

We put in the Delta touch less faucet six years ago and have had no trouble. I love it but DH can't get "the touch" down and doesn't use it.

Hands free on/off is a solution in search of a problem. And a bad solution at that. Electronics fail a lot sooner than faucet mechanics. There is a reason that not one faucet company will guarantee its hands free electronics past 5 years.

If you want hands free, buy a faucet with wrist blade handles -- the kind hospitals use.

They will either be annoying or fabulous. Depends on your viewpoint. I want one of those every time my hands are gunky and I need to turn the faucet on. OTOH, I have a sensor soap dispenser that drives me nuts.

I took a look at no-touch sensor faucets. Here's a No Touch Sensor Faucet link with info on the ones you tap and the ones that work by movement. Also a video on each type.
