Reminds me of Daltile's "Chenille White" limestone

The interesting thing about limestone is it's a natural material, as you know. And some products from one quarry can look similar to another from another quarry. Saltillo has a product called 'ocean' which has more blue cast and one with a more ivory cast.
It's the horizontal lines that are so beautiful. Different product has different degrees of this striation.

Would you be able to mount an LCD above the fireplace or does the stone get hot? Thanks!

You could but I find the tile gets quite hot even after the fireplace has been on for a few minutes. I would not recommend it.

Lots of people put their TVs over a gas FP but we try to design solutions where the TV is at ergonomic height. That is why we like to design a FP and TV at approx. 30-34" above the floor, depending on homeowner height.

It's much more comfortable to watch a TV at eyelevel, when sitting, we find.

Hi - i'm going for a similar look but using the fireplace wall as a room divider between the sitting room and master bedroom. The wall will be about 4 feet wide with a 36 inch fireplace. the ceiling is 8 feet - how hight off the ground should we put the fireplace? We want a tv above it. thanks for your advice!
