Any advice for what to add or change in this dining room decor wise?

You could place your mirror horizontally (not sure if too long) and re-accessorize the buffet creating an interesting vignette - link below which you may find interesting. The runner could be placed on the length (or remove completely, as well as the bowl of fruit for a more modern look). Not sure what the upholstery is like, but fabric can make a big impact if you want a change and on the blank wall adding art or a series of prints can create more interest. Just a few things that you could try.

Very pretty room. I think you just need some colour. Maybe switch out the two vases on the table for some colourful pieces.

I'd be nitpicking if I suggested anything here be changed. I think this room is about as close to perfect as one can get. OK, let me nitpick a bit: your tablescape could be more interesting, less symmetrical, have a bit more movement. That's about as critical as I can get.

Maybe an assortment of white pitchers with greens:

Should I switch out the chairs?

I think the chairs are fine. If you wanted a change you could change the seating (a mauve damask would be really pretty) or add upholstered captain's chairs or do both ideas.

I agree...just a bit more color. Easily done with some art

The vertical mirror is perfect with the buffet. Turned, it would be wider than the buffet and give you an unbalanced look. Hung at the proper height above the buffet (5") It would also cut off the reflection of the chandelier. I do think the chandy could be larger and perhaps hung a bit closer to the table top. I'm not crazy about the mix of Queen Anne furniture with rustic and contemporary accessories, and changing the chairs might break you out of that QA influence, which is pretty heavy. Do you have some chairs in mind? The table runner is not in keeping with the direction everything else is going. They always look too country to me.

its too creamy. add an area rug with a punch of navy in it. or put curtains on the side windows. add some art to the left bare wall.

why not run the runner the long way on the table?

I agree with others about re-orienting the table runner and adding a touch of color with accessories and art.

Lovely room, just art work on the left hand side wall needed and I agree with everyone change the table runner to run lengthways.

Agree there's not much to change; the simple palette is very peaceful. You already have a mirror, so a complementary piece of art for the corner would be a nice addition. It doesn't have to introduce a new color.

Certainly doesn't have to be this (just an image that popped into mind as familiar). Just wanted you to see a simple option that would work while keeping your original palette in mind.
