Placement of chandelier in dining room?

What do you do when you have to decide to center the light fixture (orb chandelier) above the dining room table or center it on the wall behind the table?

10 years agolast modified: 10 years agoCenter the fixture over the table. The orb is not the best choice for a fixture for the table or the room. IMO. I love that mirror.
I would look at linear lights.
- 10 years agoAfter picture.......is the room too busy with all the movement of the picture, mirror and light fixture?

10 years agoThere is no rule that you need a hanging lamp above the table, especially one with retina-frying exposed bulbs. Get something indirectly direct, with a good dimmer. Simple, modern LED fixtures are showing up more and more. Candles are still the nicest thing to light a table, though.
