The accent lighting really helps if you have a desk in a room that has no windows. With this type of lighting you don't need to have a lamp that takes up space on the desk.

I actually would like to see less. ;)

I think having two top shelves and the lower one maybe 6" higher would be good, since people do change their monitor sizes depending on needs. And this top shelf seems too high to be very useful.

Also if there's an option to have the filing drawers on caster would also be good too, might be more flexible for left handed, and also could pull it out and use the top as extra surface area.

But overall I do like these kind of desks with built in lights.

Thank-you for all the great comments! Yes there are always ways to improve on this desk. It's a great starting point then you can customize it depending on the clients needs. It would be neat to take out the shelves and put a piece of wall art above the desk. Actually you could change the look of this desk in many different ways. The options are endless.
