Bathroom Vanity Help

Hello,

Finishing up the kids 5x8 bathroom remodel. Need help deciding a vanity color. Vanity is 30" wide. Will most likely get a granite remnant for the top. I have samples of everything but wanted to get some opinions. Was thinking either dark brown chocolate color or white. Opinions/Thoughts?

Also anyone ever used Wolf Classic Cabinets for vanity? I can get one at a good price but so many brands/options.

Thanks

I would go with a white vanity if you are trying to brighten up the room. Never heard of Wolf Classic. I'm looking at Bertch cabinets right now.

Which Wolf vanity are you looking at? I saw some with an espresso finish that could work. My guest bath is the same configuration and I used a dark-stained cherry vanity but with a lighter floor.

I'd chose the remnant first as I had a really hard time finding something, especially in granite. There was only gold tones, black, and other weird colors to chose from. I could not find any quiet creamy remnants. I'd also look at quartz with your colors.

I think its the Dartmouth. Im not sold on that brand. I could go with any brand. I have a couple choices for remnants most are light and will go with any color vanity. But thats what we cant decide, what color vanity goes best.

Do you have photos of the remnants?

So the Dartmouth is part of their cabinet line, not their vanities. It's maple, and I would be concerned about the dark stain since maple doesn't take dark stain well. It can look blotchy. From the little I know, maple can be conditioned to accept stain better but not every cabinet maker will do so. That's why I used cherry with a caffe stain.

Vanities are dressed up more than cabinets, so I'd look at their vanity line. If you have a 36" vanity, there's not much you can do with a box with Shaker doors except add nice hardware. I dressed mine up with a different door style and a valance and trim pieces. I didn't want a plain toe kick base. I bought Kraftmaid because they have a choice of trim packages and door styles.

Here is a photo of one of the remnants I thought went with tile. The vanity is only 30". But I haven't committed to any top yet. Seem to be stuck on vanity color and brand.

It's a nice granite and goes with either color. The dark does look fine with the floor too and it actually lightens it up a bit. It also pulls the dark tiles from the accent. What are you using for a shower curtain? If white I'd do the dark vanity.

I just found a shower curtain I like after two years of searching. It's cream with a brown and blue-gray paisley. I hung it and it felt like a competing pattern with my pretty quiet granite. But the color is a dead match for the other colors in the room.
