We are on try # 3 for our sage surface counter top, first the fabricators broke it just before delivery and secondly (today) it arrived chipped in may places mostly on the edges where they cut it or on the corners, with a scratch on the top. Had to send it back. I think the folks cutting this product to fit our kitchen (hired out from a big name home improvement store) really have no idea what they are doing. Is it really so difficult to work with and will it chip after installation??

Cuero is the Color. AND This morning my installer called to say that he would not take delivery of the 3rd countertop that they were to install today, because it is CHIPPED BADLY on the top and definitely NOT usable. I have spent $3300 on a backsplash to go with this very unusual color of counter top...Lowe's keeps having the slab sent to the ONE finisher (I guess that they are called...the people who cut the slab to size, the fine cuts, in CA) that they have a contract with, and they either are not experienced, or good enough to work with the materials, and we are gping in to month 4 with NO SINK or Stove...I'm loosing it...

How did it work out altmuse? We are considering installing this in our home.

I am assuming this is DuraLosa from Lowe's - Lisa Mack - did you end up moving forward w/ DuraLosa and if so - what Lowe's location did you work with?
