Lovely selection Helen - can't wait to see pictures of them when they flower in your garden. Looks like most of us are going to have new roses to post next season!

I see someone else has already fallen in love with Olivia Rose like I have. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, it is NOT being introduced in America for 2016. Austin has been showing a pic of it for several months now--in the ENGLISH catalogue. Nothing in the American catalogue. I sure hope we get Olivia Rose sooner or later cuz I already rearranged a place in the garden to make room for her and I will leave that spot open and in reserve for Olivia Rose, but I can't wait forever--so David Austin, get on the ball and get that rose to me!

I really like Ancient Mariner also--I have a weakness for Austins with literary names. However, I find the Walter Scott one quite unattractive. Am I the only one?

Hey Kate, My niece has a landscaping company and is able to order select roses thru them at a discount price and Olivia is on that list. Being a landscaping company they don't have to order a high quantity as nurseries do. Judy

...I should add, I hope that hasn't put a damper on anyone's enthusiasm for these roses, I'm sure they'll all look great in your gardens... especially those with more heat...

Yes, first year roses cannot be trusted. :)

Next year she'll probably do much better.

Beautiful pics, Marlorena, thanks for sharing.

The David Austin US website has not yet been updated for 2016 new roses, however, Regan Nursery shows Olivia Austin Rose for sale.

I hope Regan's brings it back into stock later this autumn. I will check Austin's site around Thanksgiving. I have been hoping to add Olivia Rose Austin to the garden next spring...

The pictures are wonderful and the roses look beautiful, but please don't be offended if I say that the first three to me look very much like Austins that have come before. I do like The Ancient Mariner and Sir Walter Scott might be interesting; I'd have to see more pictures of the latter.

What I like about Olivia Rose is :

--she is very disease-resistant. Many of Austin's earlier pinks were not.

--her blooms have a lovely shape and appealing pastel color and good fragrance--very different than many of the earlier short pinks which may have 1 or 2 of those traits, but often do not have all 3.

--she is a smaller bush than many Austins--which is what I need since I am nearly out of space.

Therefore, I think Olivia Rose fits in well with my needs and expectations. But until I get one and actually grow it in my garden, I'm not going to know for sure, am I! LOL. David Austin--get me my rose!
