Help selecting a sink

Hello, I am in the process of selecting a kitchen sink for our new house. I am looking at at least 30-32" single bowl, stainless steel ,9-10" deep sink.

My choices are Kraus:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0032C5YGI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2DGFHL5X72PVQ&coliid=I2BPUXS5RYR19C&psc=1

and

Dawn :

Does anyone have any experience with these types?

Thank you

No experience with the brands, sorry, but Kraus is a well known and respected one. Also the Kraus seems to be the better value, unless you really want the shape/size of the Dawn sink. I would ask the seller about the specific dimensions of the Dawn sink (how wide is the narrower portion)

What is the appeal and advantage of a sink that narrows? Just curious. I would be irritated if something was too wide for the narrow end. I've never heard of the Dawn brand so can't speak to it. Quite a few of us here at GW have the Kraus and have reviewed it positively.

I have a Kraus in a smaller size and love it. I also love that the grid is included in the price.

anitamo- the Kraus price seemed to be a little suspicious . Almost too low. I did not know if that goes with the quality.

funkycamper- I wanted to use the space under the kitchen sink, so drain on one side and to the back seemed to be very attractive. I did not necessarily looked for the narrower side.

I have Kraus sink in 30". I like it (not as much as I loved the Franke Orca in my previous home, but still). It's very good quality (no tinny sound). The only negative I have found is that the little feet on the grid have made marks in the stainless that I have not been able to get out (basically, it's shinier where the feet are, like the finish is worn in those spots). We paid just a little more than the Amazon price.

Here's another one to consider. I have recently put in several Ruvati sinks. So far, everyone has loved them so I became a Ruvati dealer. They have several different lines.

The Roma series is their more expensive line but has nifty tracks front and back where you can slide a cutting board and colander (which come included).

The Gravena series has a tight radius, meaning the inside corners are rounded making it easier to clean....but not too rounded, so the sink retains that modern "zero-radius" look.

Nesta is their true zero-radius sink series.

Their website shows list price....but they sell for between $150 to $550 Click Ruvati Sinks to see more.

I have the 32" Kraus sink ordered from faucetdirect.com a couple of years ago. Paid about $350. Price should not make you suspicious. It's good quality. Mine has the same issues as sj stated above but things like that don't bother me (not that they bother sj, either). I'd say the only negative for me, is the low slope making it harder to "chase" food down the drain. But that doesn't really make me hate my sink. Love the large, single bowl!

I have a sink similar to the shape of the Dawn one. Where it narrows is where the faucet goes, so it's actually wider at the wide part then a lot of rectangular single basin sinks since the faucet deck doesn't run the whole length of the sink. The narrow part shouldn't be any narrower than most single bowl sinks.
