A light colored cabinet like light gray, dark countertop like dark gray and white and light gray backsplash would be nice.. If you like contemporary look. Try looking at Stonington Gray by BM ..look at white dove for white or American white. Go to BM's site for ideas too but Houzz has gazillion of gorgeous kitchen ideas. Good luck!

keep a clean feeling to your kitchen no matter what you do-some of the trends are to bring the earth tones in-but they can easily end up looking muddy, and get posted as: nearly done kitchen and don't like it now what do I do?? panic posts : ) classic combos are also white and any of the primary colors-and white on whites. adding oomph w/slate or strong materials/colors is possible and fun, but should be done carefully. I like starting with either a beautiful stone for the counter top, or a tile I love for the backsplash, and working out from there.

I agree with Nancy, I looked threw Houzz's searched kitchens only. Put in the search whatever you are looking for as countertops, cabinets (granite, formica etc) , you can be specific as ask color etc. You will find more ideas then you can count. It all takes some money and good ideas. The more ideas you find on this site the better the outcome will be. Good luck!!
