I'm trying to get suggestions on remodeling a kids bathroom that was black/white with red accents. I already has the safari shower curtain but not for sure on the wall paint color and blinds. I was be getting new counter top and would color suggestion on it. And should the cabinets be painted also. The black tile on floor has to stay.

Have you chosen the safari curtain and you want to base the room on those sort of colors? Are you going for a safari theme?

Painting the cabinets depends on whether the black and white will match the final theme.

I'd recommend looking around Houzz and the rest of the internet to find some inspiration photos to help us help you go in the direction you want to go.

When you say red accents, are you only referring to the light cover - I do not see any other red.

Are you going to paint the black vanity. What will be the countertop material - will you also replace the backsplash. Are you going to replace the mirror. What does the floor look like?????.

Yes, is the curtain the start of the theme of the room?

I would get rid of the red, and find things to tie the black with brown. Santa Cecelia Granite or something similar would be a good option. It is neutral enough to last through this theme and others, and very common so it should be easy to find at a remnant yard, likely to be less expensive as well.

I would paint all of the vanity white, it will help lighten up the room. I would look for some fun accents that will give the room more of a safari feel - art with animals on it, perhaps a faux animal skin rug, etc...

For the walls, a soft green would be nice, but I wouldnt do anything too bold if you are sticking with the shower curtain.

I already took out all the red shelves and decorations. The switch plate is just the remaining red and it will be painted.

I am replacing the mirrors, light fixtures, and putting a granite countertop.
