Great use of the tapered beams and the T&G ceiling. Is there a cavity for insulation above the ceiling deck?
Nice project.

    Hello,
Thanks for your question about our Eagle Harbor can project. There is definitely an insulation cavity above the interior wood ceiling; we typically insulate roof cavities to R-50.

Thanks Nils, how deep is the cavity; it does ot look very deep? Are you using a spray insulation, high density or solid sheet of some sort? Troy

I believe the insulation cavity is framed with 2x10's. This project used fiberglass batt insulation, but in more recent projects we are using closed cell foam and batt combinations.

What was the cost of the lakeside windows? Who did you use?

The windows are aluminum-clad fir windows by Marvin. It has been a few years, but I believe the total window cost was around $80K.
